The Daf Yomi Group of the 'Chochma V'Daat' Yeshiva in the Inner Sanctum

On Monday of this week, Parshas Vayakhel, 24th of Adar I, in the afternoon, the precious young men of the Chochma V'Daat Yeshiva—who participate in the Daf Yomi (daily page of Talmud) group in addition to the holy Yeshiva's regular schedules—merited to enter the inner sanctum. They were led by the renowned Maggid Shiur (Torah lecturer) whose mouth drips pearls, Rabbi Itiel Yisraeli shlit"a (may he live long and good days).

The Rav shlit"a (Rabbi Berland) delivered a lesson to the precious young men for about ten minutes. Before you is a summary of the lesson:

The Rav shlit"a began the lesson regarding the war and the lawlessness that occurred on the day of Simchas Torah. Furthermore, during the lesson, he spoke about the act of Shimon and Levi who killed the people of Shechem, stating that because they killed the people of Shechem, all the surrounding cities came out to wage war against Yaakov Avinu (our forefather Jacob). Afterward, he discussed the story mentioned in the Gemara (Talmud), Kiddushin 29b, regarding Rav Aha bar Yaakov, whom Abaye instructed not to host. Therefore, he went to sleep in the synagogue, where he saw a seven-headed snake. With every bow (kri'ah) he made during prayer, he removed another head from the snake. The Rav added regarding this matter that, according to the Sod (mystical secrets of Torah), this incident of the seven-headed snake came to rectify the incident of the Concubine of Gibeah (Pilegesh B'Givah). For Abaye was the reincarnation of the old man who brought out the concubine to the tribe of Binyamin, and the seven-headed snake was the concubine; through this, he sought to achieve a tikkun (rectification) for that deed.
