The End of the War Depends on the Modesty of the Girls! • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is the full daily lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) - yesterday after the Maariv (evening) prayer, Thursday night, the 29th of Sivan, Parshas Korach:

"The Rebbe [Rebbe Nachman] writes in Sefer HaMiddos (The Aleph-Bet Book), section on Adultery, item 37: that the Geulah (Redemption) will only come through the girls who walk with tzniut (modesty) and guard their kedushah (holiness) and taharah (purity). This is because our body is a body of the Satan, a body of the Serpent. Hashem made 'garments of skin' [after the sin of Adam]. The Serpent shed its skin, and Hashem clothed Adam and Eve in that skin. Throughout one's 120 years, one must struggle with improper thoughts. The body whispers bad things to a person—'go to Jaffa Street, go here, go there.' A person must struggle with these whispers. The moment all the girls go with long [skirts] without a slit, no soldier will be killed. Every day, dozens of soldiers are killed, or severely wounded without arms or legs. If a missile hits a tank, everyone comes out blind, everyone is burned alive. They all come out blind and sightless. It all depends only on the girls agreeing to wear long [clothing], down to the ankle, and to sew up the slit. Whoever has a slit should change the dress or sew the slit. Because Einstein, during the summer break, would learn all the material. Now we have from the 1st of Tammuz—Saturday night—the 1st of Tammuz. Monday, the 2nd of Tammuz, there will be a trip to Yosef [Joseph's Tomb]. Yosef was born on the 1st of Tammuz and passed away on the 1st of Tammuz. So there is a trip [arranged] by the army with a permit and escort; everyone must go without exception, on Monday night. Register with Netanel Snir, or at Givot Olam, to register for Yosef HaTzaddik (Joseph the Righteous). And Einstein was... now we have from the 1st of Tammuz until the 1st of Elul, sixty days. Every girl needs to complete her material. Every girl should register for 'Netivot HaChinuch' or 'Beer Miriam.' If she is missing material, she has sixty days to learn it all, and also to learn the material for next year. Every girl, instead of playing in the streets and wandering around, can learn all of next year's material. Just like Einstein, who would learn all the material during the summer break. In class, he would only throw peels and rotten tomatoes at the teachers. Once he threw a chair at a teacher... he broke her rib, her head, made a hole in her head; she never returned to school. You can't do anything [to a child like that]. Germany is 'Yekke' [strict and orderly]; a student can blow a teacher's head off, and they do nothing to him. Everything there is 'orderly,' everything is 'tick-tock' [precise]. So the principal didn't know how to get rid of him. He got him a medical certificate saying he needed the Alpine air, the fresh air of Switzerland—the cleanest air in the world. [Claiming] he had a lung illness and needed clean air, he got him a medical certificate and sent him to Zurich, Switzerland. To the Technion [ETH Zurich]. It's called a Technion; it's like a pre-preparatory school for the Technion. When he arrived there, they asked him, 'What nationality are you?' He said, 'I am a Jew.' 'A Jew? We don't accept [Jews]! Come on, get out of here, Jew, out!' The principal heard this and said, 'I'm resigning.' He was already... they knew he was the smartest in the world. He already knew all of mathematics by heart; at age twelve, he knew all of algebra by heart, all the calculations by heart. The principal said, 'I'm resigning if you don't accept him.' So they accepted him against their will and despite their anger. Because Switzerland is the most antisemitic, even more than the Germans. Only [during WWII] was it neutral, but it didn't let any Jew enter its borders. Only those who smuggled across the borders [got in], and they put them in prison for four years. Switzerland is the most antisemitic. So a person needs to know that we are now at the end of the war. They said the war is about to end; it only depends on the tzniut (modesty) of the girls, and we will merit the complete Geulah (Redemption) speedily in our days, Amen!"‏.
