The Kabbalist from the 36 Hidden Tzaddikim, Rabbi Mori Shalom Hamdi zt"l, Has Passed Away – A Historic Visit to Rabbi Berland shlit"a: Photo Gallery

"The heavenly angels have overcome the earthly giants and the Holy Ark has been captured; the entire House of Israel shall bewail the burning that Hashem has kindled" (Leviticus 10:6)

This evening, the 12th of Adar I, 5784, Wednesday, Shushan Purim Katan, the week of Parshat Tetzaveh, one of the great Lamed-Vav (36) hidden tzaddikim of the generation, Rabbi Mori Shalom Hamdi zt"l (of blessed memory), has passed away.

Mori Shalom Hamdi zt"l was great in Torah, wisdom, and humility. Just four days ago, he merited to meet our teacher, the holy Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), in a historic visit.

Mori Shalom Hamdi zt"l arrived at the holy home of the Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a, holding the holy hands of the Rav shlit"a throughout the entire meeting.

The Rav shlit"a blessed him warmly. During their holy conversation, the tzaddikim discussed the Aliyah (immigration to Israel) from Yemen that took place decades ago, the same Aliyah in which Rabbi Hamdi zt"l arrived.

They further spoke at length regarding matters of the Geulah (Redemption).
