Very Exciting: First Prayer with the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a after a Two-Week Absence: Watch

There is great excitement in the Shuvu Banim Breslov holy court. After two weeks of rest, in light of his frail health, His Holiness the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) returned to his holy residence in Jerusalem.

Immediately upon his return, multitudes crowded together—his students and many of the common folk of the House of Israel—for the first Shacharit (morning prayer) that pierced the heavens.

As we published on the website, the return of our teacher, the Rav (Rabbi Berland) shlit"a, was accompanied by new/old holy conducts, which are aimed at strengthening the ranks and advancing the path of prayer and Avodas Hashem (service of G-d), so that the Rav shlit"a can concentrate more on prayer, as well as give proper attention to the public's questions outside of prayer times.

A Regular Gemara (Talmud) Class in the Early Morning

One of the new conducts was expressed in the fact that our teacher, the Rav shlit"a, began to deliver a daily Daf Yomi (daily page of Talmud) Gemara class every day at 4:00 AM. The class is held in the prayer hall before the Shacharit prayer, and immediately upon its conclusion, the Shacharit prayer is held according to the new conducts established by the Rav shlit"a.

Some of the new/old rules being instituted by the Rav shlit"a deal with the fact that if anyone has an urgent question, they can direct it to the Gabbai (synagogue assistant) and, with Hashem's help, will receive an answer—during the prayer time, no note will be answered.

For this purpose, a large box will be placed where people can drop their notes and Pidyonos (redemption petitions). After the prayer, the urgent questions will be checked, and the families will be contacted.

Furthermore, our teacher the Rav has returned to lead the public prayers with the rule that from now on, the Rav will pray without interruptions. The children on the bleachers (tribunes) will be moved to the front part of the hall so that the Rav can see them throughout the prayer. The Rav will be able to encourage them and give them good hints for praying with Kavanah (devotion). All the children will be able to pray an orderly prayer, with Kavanah and melodies, just as we received the blessing from Reb Levi Yitzchak, from Reb Nachman of Tulchin, who received the blessing from Reb Noson.
