The Blood Libel Against Rav Berland Continues

In yet another outrageous step, the blood libel continues in a timed and sickening manner. Every time our teacher, the holy Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, reaches the end of a previous sentence imposed upon him through harsh and malicious fabrications, suddenly, more delusional accusations are scraped up from under the rug.

This time, they are speaking about a case from 35 years ago, and suddenly, just when the Rav is due to be released, they remembered to investigate him—this, after the case had already been investigated and closed in the past due to a lack of evidence.

Anyone even slightly familiar with the events knows that there is a wicked group of people who are zealots in their own eyes, whose entire obsession is our teacher, the Rav shlit"a. They are busy every moment of their days looking for ways to harm Rav Berland and his holy community.

There is no process of seeking the truth here; these are cunning and malicious maneuvers receiving backing from a rotten judicial system, which has proven itself more than once in its hatred of religion and its representatives.

This is a total persecution of the Haredi public, which unfortunately does not understand that there are many more leaders in Haredi Judaism whom they will target afterward.

Rabbi Aharon Schwartz arrived, like many other students of Rav Berland and many others who are fed up with the gross lies, at the Russian Compound in Jerusalem to protest the disgrace of a Torah scholar.

These are his words, spoken before the media that arrived to cover the event.

"All those being investigated left the Shuvu Banim community long ago, and if they did what they are accused of doing, it was only on their own personal initiative, if it is even proven that they are connected to the matters for which they are being investigated."

"Rav Berland has no connection at all to this affair. Today's arrest once again proves the cruel abuse being inflicted upon Rav Berland. A man whom the Supreme Court ruled cannot be held under detention conditions, an 84-year-old sick and elderly man, and yet they drag him around instead of questioning him on the spot."

"The same applies to the arrest of Rabbanit Berland, an elderly woman with a broken arm in the stages of recovery from Corona, who collapsed in her home. But instead of taking her by ambulance to the hospital, they took her in a police vehicle to the Central Investigation Unit."

"They are breaking the laws. The judicial system has marked a target, marked a man, and is drawing circles around him. We expect the truth to come to light and for justice—despite the entire corrupt and rotten legal system in Israel—to be revealed."

"What we are seeing here is another stage in the terrible deterioration of the judicial system in Israel. They are taking a man whom the court ruled cannot withstand detention conditions, an elderly, sick, 84-year-old man who cannot be held under detention according to the Supreme Court ruling, and they are dragging him around in a cruel abuse by the judicial system, when there is no forensic evidence whatsoever."

"Everything is a blown-up balloon of rumors; they mark a target and build circles around it, trying to take down a man as part of a campaign of persecution. They mark Rav Berland and pursue him in every possible way; they do not shy away from any method, just like in the Communist regime during its worst days."

"They are now also abusing the Rabbanit, the wife of Rav Berland, who is very ill, and instead of a hospital, they took her to an interrogation room at the Central Investigation Unit."

"The thugs, the violent and aggressive ones, are the judicial system of the State of Israel; after this, they say about Shuvu Banim that they are violent."

"With the help of Hashem, the truth will come to light, and everyone will see that Rav Berland is clean and pure, not connected to this affair and certainly not to the previous ones. Everything is a libel, fabricated cases directed by dissenters who burn Israeli flags and dance on Independence Day over every fallen soldier. These are the most extreme in the Haredi public who have joined forces with the judicial system of Israel to take down Rav Berland at any cost—when all means are considered valid for them."

"Everything is directed because Rav Berland brings Jews closer to Torah and mitzvot, uniting the people of Israel. There are anti-religious goals here, a persecution of an entire religion."
